What we all need to know !!

Even though the study outcomes are interesting, the researchers distinguished that they need cautious interpretation. Some limitations involve the potential for residual impenetrable, misclassification of exposure to folic acid and/or MVI usage, and the observational nature of the study. further studies are needed to substantiate the current findings, but the authors accomplished that the “condensed risk of autism spectrum disarray in offspring is a deliberation for public health policy that may be realized by extended use of folic acid and multivitamin complements  throughout pregnancy.”

All women of childbearing age take 400 μg of folic acid daily to put off select birth defects (e.g., spina bifida), recommended by the U.S. Public Health Service and CDC.  As one-half of U.S. pregnancies are unplanned, and some birth defects happen very early in pregnancy (3–4 wk after conception), before most women know they are pregnant, Hence Women aged 15 to 45 should administered folic acid daily.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) suggests that pregnant women have to take at least 400 μg of folic acid daily to put off major birth defects and that 600 μg of folic acid should be administered from all sources. ACOG also suggest that all pregnant women obtain a prenatal vitamin supplement.
